Mental Health, Organizational Culture and the Role of Compassion

We are living through trying times and the need to address the intersection of compassion, empathy, mental health, and organizational culture has never been greater. A global health pandemic has moved many of us into new relationships with work: for some, we are essential front lines in the fight; for others, we are the rear guard working from home; and for many, we are those who are waiting for disappeared work to re-appear when it is safe. A national reckoning with racial injustice continues to challenge us to see our organizations and society differently and work creatively to welcome people into workplaces in a way that fosters belonging and inclusion. Is it any wonder that we are facing a mental health crisis in our workplaces?

There has never been a time when we more needed a clear and practical understanding of compassionate approaches to mental health at work. Dr. Worline will address the trying times we find ourselves in and offer a research-based view of the role of compassion in supporting adaptability to change, enabling a resilient economic foundation for organizations, and fostering cultures that support workplace mental health from the ground up. Join her to hear how creating healthy and effective work cultures positively impacts the bottom line.
